I AM UDAYAKUMAR KOLLIMATH, MARKETING SPECIALIST WORKING FOR A WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECT IN THE STATE OF KARNATAKA. THE PROJECT AIMS AT REDUCING POVERTY BY IMPROVING THE WATER BODIES IN THE RURAL AREAS WITH COMMUNITY APPROACHES. THERE ARE NUMBER OF FARMERS WHO ARE GROWING SILK WITHIN THE PROJECT DISTRICTS. I AM TRYING FIND APPROPRIATE LINKAGES WITH THE OWNERS OF THIS BLOG AND THE FARMERS WHO ARE INVOLVED IN GROWING OF SILK.

Has anyone any information about the meaning of the silkmark logo, the reason of the chosen colour and who has designed the silk mark? Is there any international counterpart? Thanks in advance.
